About The Workshop

The "AI Tools for the Modern Classroom" workshop, held from 1st to 12th July 2024 at NUST SEECS, offers a 10-day training for educators to integrate AI into teaching. Running from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the sessions cover AI concepts, personalized learning, content creation, and AI-driven assessment methods. Participants will use tools like ChatGPT for lesson planning, explore adaptive learning platforms, and learn about automated grading and plagiarism detection. The final day focuses on future AI trends in education. With expert guidance and a collaborative environment, educators will enhance their teaching skills and adapt to new technologies. Early bird registration is available until 15th June 2024, with group discounts offered.

What You'll Learn

Day 1: Introduction to AI in Education

On the first day, participants will gain a foundational understanding of Artificial Intelligence, delving into its core concepts and principles. The session will explore the transformative potential of AI in education, highlighting how these technologies can enhance teaching and learning experiences by automating administrative tasks, providing personalized learning opportunities, and enabling data-driven decision-making.

Day 2-3: Personalized Learning with AI

During these two days, the workshop will focus on how AI can tailor learning paths to meet the individual needs and strengths of each student. Participants will learn to utilize AI-powered adaptive learning platforms that offer differentiated instruction and provide personalized feedback. The sessions will also cover AI tools designed to support struggling learners, ensuring that every student can achieve their full potential.

Day 4-6: AI-powered Content Creation and Delivery

These sessions will demonstrate the effective use of AI in generating educational content. Attendees will explore how ChatGPT can assist in creating lesson plans, presentations, and other instructional materials. Additionally, the workshop will cover AI-powered text-to-speech and image generation tools that help create engaging multimedia learning experiences, making content delivery more dynamic and interactive.

Day 7-9: AI-powered Assessment and Feedback

Over three days, participants will learn to leverage AI tools for efficient and insightful assessment. The sessions will introduce AI-powered grading tools that streamline the evaluation process, as well as automated plagiarism detection systems that promote academic integrity. Additionally, educators will explore the use of AI-driven chatbots to provide personalized student support and answer common questions, enhancing the overall learning experience.

Day 10: The Future of AI in Education

The final day will look ahead to emerging trends in AI within the educational sector. Participants will discuss best practices for integrating AI into their teaching methods and develop a personalized action plan for implementing AI tools in their classrooms. This session aims to equip educators with the knowledge and strategies needed to stay ahead in the rapidly evolving landscape of educational technology.
